Welcome to Chat Recap WA Wrapped Analysis (“we”, “our”, “us”), a mobile application that provides users with personal insights and statistics from their exported WhatsApp chat files. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle user data in compliance with applicable laws including, but not limited to, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Overview

Chat Recap WA Wrapped Analysis is designed with privacy by design as its core principle. All chat data is processed locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or access your chat data. You are in full control of your personal information.

However, to provide certain features—such as in-app purchases—we do integrate with trusted third-party services like Adapty, which may collect limited, non-identifying data as described below.

What Data We Collect

Chat Data

• We do not collect or access your WhatsApp chat data.
• Chat Recap requires you to manually export your WhatsApp conversation (.txt or .zip file) and import it into the app.
• This data is analyzed entirely on your device, and no portion of it is ever uploaded or transmitted to external servers.
• We do not use any AI tools, cloud storage, or remote databases to process your chat data.

Subscription & Purchase Data

To enable in-app purchases and subscriptions, we use Adapty as our in-app purchase infrastructure provider.

When you initiate a purchase or manage your subscription, the following non-personal information may be collected by Adapty:

• Device information (e.g., model, manufacturer, screen resolution)
• Operating system version (e.g., iOS version)
• IP address (used for geo-location and fraud detection)
